An acoustic duo comprising of the Clowes brothers from sunny Biddulph.
Ant and John have been playing music together since they were teenagers, in the village of Biddulph Moor.
Following the covid pandemic Ant started to attend local open mic nights as the scene recovered. It wasn't long before a couple of local artists suggested he should try a gig or two. Thus, Ant Clowes Music was born.
A short time later, it was decided that the two chaps should team up to play a set at John's wedding. This endeavour was a resounding success and so the solo act became a duo. After rehearsals and many more open mics to hone their sound, the lads started gigging in late 2022. Since then it has been a whirlwind of gigs and wonderful feedback from venues and audiences alike.
Both brothers are seasoned theatrical performers and this is reflected in the vast spectrum of music they perform. From Les Misèrables to AC/DC you never know what's coming next, all performed in their own unique style on 12 string guitar and percussion.
The first year became a total whirlwind. Aiming to perform 5 or 6 gigs, the brothers received a total of 57 bookings and were voted ACOUSTIC DUO/GROUP OF THE YEAR 2023 in the OUR STAFFORDSHIRE awards.
